A full decade between these two events and it’s clear.  We are losing the battle against obesity. Look around you. Be an example to the kids around you to lose weight and take charge of your family’s health.

Healthy food with smoothiesIn the Time Magazine article, the horrible diseases they are seeing in children will make you sick: diabetes, cirrhosis of the liver caused by layers of fat that have scarred healthy tissue, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, risks of multiple cancers developing early in life.

We can no longer sugar coat this.  We as adults must look in the mirror – and we must look at our children with new eyes.

Since 1980, obesity prevalence among children ages 2 to 19 has tripled.

  • 32% are overweight or obese         17% are obese
  • No state met the nation’s Healthy People 2010 goal to lower obesity prevalence to 15%. Rather, in 2010, there were 12 states with an obesity prevalence of 30%. In 2000, no state had an obesity prevalence of 30% or more.

We live in a day and age and nation when being healthy is a sign of respect for the great opportunities you have been given. We are here to help you take control of your health and lose weight.  Join us in the battle against obesity.  It’s for you and for your children.  Contact us to get connected.  Let us know your comments, questions and concerns.
